If you are considering applying to SUMS, the following guidance will help you navigate the admissions process with ease.
Before Applying
Before starting your application, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the criteria and list of required documents for admission to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Detailed information is available in the Requirements section. Reviewing these requirements thoroughly beforehand helps ensure your application is complete and avoids unnecessary delays. Remember, all application documents must be submitted in PDF format, unlocked, and must not exceed 3 MB in size.
Application Deadlines
Undergraduate application periods are announced on SUMS website each year. Meanwhile, applications for graduate programs are accepted year-round. Please ensure you submit your application via our online portal, as mailed applications will not be considered. All supporting documents must reach our Admissions Office in time to be reviewed for your intended semester.
Application Process
SUMS accepts only online applications. To begin, visit the Application Form and complete all required fields. Once your application is submitted, the Office of Admissions will carefully review your materials and notify you of the decision via email. Please note: there is no application fee required by SUMS.
After Admission
Upon acceptance to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, you can proceed with the enrollment. After securing your visa and arriving in the country, you will be introduced to the Office of Educational Affairs to finalize your registration and settle the annual tuition payment. Please be aware that withdrawing from your studies may result in forfeiture of the annual tuition fee and applicable penalties, such as charges for accommodation, utilities, internet, health insurance, and registration fees, as detailed in university policies.

Eligibility
The International Education Program (IEP) at SUMS is open exclusively to non-Iranian students.
Important: Iranian nationals and individuals with dual Iranian citizenship are not eligible to apply for the SUMS International Education Program (IEP). These applicants are required to participate in the National Entrance Examination (Konkur).
