School of Management and Medical Information Sciences
The faculty of Management and Medical Information was established following the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities Development in October 1993. Initially, the faculty o ered undergraduate courses. Later, in 2005, postgraduate unit was launched and started introducing postgraduate courses.
In 2013, doctoral students were admitted as well. By training specialist sta members, this faculty is one of the centers that plays a basic role in maintaining and promoting the health of the society that is the ultimate goal of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

Vision
The faculty of Management and Medical Information is a pioneer in Education, production and dissemination of useful sciences, pushing the boundaries of knowledge and technology on a global scale while preserving their scientific authority and Islamic identity in the country; and having dynamic and constructive interactions with scientific healthcare centers nationally and internationally.
Mission
To train committed and pious human resources in the following fields: Management of Healthcare Services, Health Information Technology Management, Medical Library and Information Sciences and to do applied researches in the specialized fields to answer challenges in health system in order to achieve the preservation and promotion of social health.
Facilities
Academic spaces of the faculty consist of well-equipped computer sites, 4 practical skills centers, English language laboratory, 3 special sites devoted to postgraduate students, classrooms, etc. A library and a regular and digital study hall are available to clients.
Research
Research areas include: modification of health system management, management and health economics concepts, fair presentation of healthcare services, social milieu, events, culture, spiritual and psychological health, knowledge management, computer networks and notification systems, electronic health records and scientometrics, electronic resource management.
The school of Management and Medical Information Sciences is one of the pioneers in the fields of health management, policy making, and economy and information studies in the country and Middle East areas.
Other Activities
Scientific weekly lectures, workshops and meetings are conducted in order to improve the knowledge of academic members as well as staff and students.
