Bushehr Province is one of the 31 provinces of Iran.
It is in the south of the country, with a long coastline onto the Persian Gulf.
Its center is Bushehr, the provincial capital.
The province has ten counties: Asaluyeh, Bushehr, Dashtestan, Dashti, Dayyer, Deylam, Jam, Kangan, Ganaveh, and Tangestan.
In 2014, the province had a population of more than 1 million people.
Bushehr lies in a vast plain running along the coastal region on the Persian Gulf coast of southwestern Iran.
Climate: Hot and humid
Bushehr is one of the important ports in the Persian Gulf which has an international airport, and highways connect the city to Ahvaz to the northwest and Shiraz to the northeast.
Bushehr is an export market for the farm products of the neighboring Province of Fars.
The old section of central Bushehr has many examples of traditional Persian Gulf architecture from the 1870s to the 1920s.
Bushehr industries include seafood canneries, food-processing plants, and engineering firms.
