Infectious Diseases Research Center of Birjand University of Medical Sciences was established in 2012 and enacted in the 216 th meeting of the Council of Extending the Country s Universities of Medical Sciences on December 4, 2012. The center is prepared to cooperate with everyone and every scientific center in doing research activities in the field of hepatitis and related infectious diseases. At the present time, this center is the provincial branch of the country s hepatitis network.
Objectives
Development and application of human knowledge in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases
Effective participation in the relevant scientific meetings and valid journals
Performing epidemiological and clinical applied research as well as purposeful basic research in order to produce knowledge and help provide effective health care services to patients in need of help
Establishing a comprehensive system for recording the data related to the common infectious diseases in the region
Guiding students of different degrees in Birjand University of Medical Sciences to do purposeful applied research in the field of infectious diseases
