Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT)

Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT) was founded in 1970 by a great benevolent and decent philanthropist, the late Seyed Hossein Fallah Noshirvani. He was from Babol, the province of Mazandaran, Iran.

The University was founded as a technical Teachers Training Institute in 1970. By 1979, it was merged with the University of Mazandaran, and subsequently operated as the University of Mazandaran Faculty of Engineering. The process of independence initiated around 2005 and it started to operate as Noshirvani Institute of Technology until 2008. Thenceforth, it has been upgraded to become, "Babol Noshirvani University of Technology". 

Currently, there are 6100 students studying at BNUT. There are 4800 students studying in B.Sc. and 1300 in M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. In addition, the university enjoys the cooperation of 182 faculty members.
