The Toxicology Research Center was established in 2010 thanks to the efforts of Dr. Amirjalali, a faculty member of the School of Pharmacy, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. In less than a year, this center, with the least facilities possible, managed to rank first among the biomedical centers in the country. Also, with the help of its experts and founding members, the Toxicology Research Center concluded contracts with large industrial companies and conducted various research projects. The Toxicology Research Center of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences aims to use all facilities at its disposal for research on toxicology (including environmental, industrial and legal toxicology) from various molecular dimensions to epidemiological areas. The center has a purposeful program to conduct specialized and applied research studies in the field of toxicology and provide recommendations and guidelines for clinical activities related to the care of poisoned patients due to contact with environmental, industrial, natural and pharmaceutical toxins. The activities of this center involve fields of research, education, and treatment. In addition, the center is active in attracting and developing national, inter-university and international cooperation in order to achieve its goals.
